If you asked me to stay

And yet I walked away

If I came knocking at you door

Will you let me in?

If you asked me to smile

And yet I frowned not just for awhile

If I came knocking at your door

Will you let me in?

If you asked me to hold you tight

And yet I left you cold at night

If I came knocking at you door

Will you let me in?

If you asked me to kiss away your sorrows

And yet I promised maybe tomorrow

If I came knocking at you door

Will you let me in?

If you asked me to trust you

And yet I doubted you

If I came knocking at your door

Will you let me in?

If you asked me to look deep in your eyes

And yet I fooled you with my lies

If I came knocking at your door

Will you let me in?

If you asked me to say i love you

And yet I only said I missed you

If I came knocking at your door

Will you let me in?

If you asked me to wait

And yet I thought it was too late

If I came knocking at your door

Will you let me in?

If you asked me not to fear

And yet I let out a tear

If I came knocking at your door

Will you let me in?

If you asked me to tell you how I feel

And yet I was afraid to be real

If I came knocking at your door

Will you let me in?

If I wander off

If I failed you

If I lied

If I've hurt you

If I came knocking at your door

Would you still let me in?
