Trust

It haunts me, how you let me down.

It was you, who I needed to catch me.

It was you, who I wanted to hold me.

What is now broken, cannot be undone.

What is now shattered, cannot be mended.

Trust? You dismissed the meaning of the

Word when you claimed her lips instead of

Mine.

You destroyed it’s value when you held her

To you.

Uttering the three words that you promised

Would reach my ears and mine alone.

I’m still falling, into the endless nightmare.

Once you realize your wrongs,

I won’t be there to waitingto catch you.

A/N: This was for a class assignment where we picked a random word and write a screenplay and a poem about it. Hope ya like! Lemme know if it can be improved. :)
