The Star

A jewel a droplet of water

A pearl the gleam in an eye

A mind that foretells the future

A faerie that floats in the sky

A record of all of earth’s history

The myths and the legends of old

Smiling in secretive mystery

Of all of the secrets they hold

There shines the pure beauty gleaming

As countless as years yet to be

Silent when the whole world is screaming

Silent and still but yet free

The sun

The sun that beats down on the desert

And dries the rainforest leaves

That gave hope to the storm-ridden sailors

As they crossed the great distance of seas

The same sun that reaches the planets

Surronded in clouds red and gold

That warms them beyond all seen future

And watched them before times of old

The sun that predicted the weather

To people in times long ago

Endlessly warming the land

And endlessly melting the snow

The same sun that watched all the history gone

And see’s all yet to be discovered

Majestical powerful distant but bright

But by the great clouds now is covered
