Romeo Must Die

"Jan, I just can't wait for the play to start!" My little sister squealed. She was actually my twin, but I liked to call her my little sister. I was, after all, four hours and twenty-one minutes older. She was usually very excited about everything, like a little girl. We were both in the play. I was to play juliet. The crush of my life sinse I was in Middle School was Romeo. My sister wasn't that talented when it came to acting, but she still got one of the smaller parts. I heard the audience start to settle down and I rushed to finish getting dressed. My school really went all out on the outfits, and my dress had a ton of parts to it. It was beautiful, but really just a hassle to wear. I would have gone mad if I had to wear something like it everyday, like Juliet. I heard our 'director' (really just an english teacher) start to wrap up her introduction to our play. I got into position, nervous but ready to shine. Nothing could go wrong.

"Romeo, Romeo, where art thou Romeo?" One of the most famous lines in the whole play. I wasn't originally going to try out for the play, because I didn't really want any extra work but once I found out who was Romeo, I practically jumped at the chance to be Juliet. Just as Romeo was about to say his lines, I heard a loud crack, and then I saw my Romeo, the Romeo, fall to the floor. I rushed to his side, but then I imediatly fell back in disgust and horror. Half of his face was missing, blood and who knows what everywhere. I had no doubt about what came to my mind next; He was shot. I've played enough video games to know it must have been a sniper. I stood up to look up at the lighting area and saw something moving. I squinted and almost got a clear view of who it was, but I was pushed out of the way by people trying to get to John. I fell to the floor just as the figure dissapeared.

Okay, don't know if I'm gonna continue this one...all depends on the reviewers. My first shot at a non romance story.
