A/N: I was rather bored during my Language Arts class…and wrote this. I just recently have lost one of my friends, though I don’t think either of us really care. Maybe that’s where this stemmed from, but I don’t know. Please read and review, leave constructive criticism, anything. I like knowing people enjoy what I write.

Paint

Paint our hearts

For they have run cold

A splash of black

For our lack of empathy

Mixed in with violent red

For all the times we’ve been stabbed in the back

Maybe a hint of blue

For sadness which we feel

And skies that are always grey

I’ll paint our hearts

Maybe so we’ll no longer bleed

Spill the color onto an empty canvas

And paint us a picture

Of a broken soul

The only one we have ever known
