You never walk me.

Perhaps I'll leap on your legs.

That will sure show you.

--

You must scratch me there!

Yes, behind my ears!

Behold, porcupine quills.

--

The rule for today

Touch my head I lick your face.

New rule tomorrow.

--

Laying on floor, very sad

There’s no creepy cats to chase

Guess that I’ll just sleep.

--

Mailman has arrived

I bark at him through window

Who cares if he heard

--

Time to go for walk

I move for five seconds, then

Pee on fire hydrant

--

Didn’t let me out

Something brown on the carpet

Call the dry cleaners

--

Yay! I get more food

If I beg at the table

Just a couple scraps?

--

Now I chase my tail

It follows me all around

Stupid body part

--

You’re my bestest friend

So I guess I will chew up

All your furniture

--

Lightning is scary

Let me hide under your bed

And howl really loud

--

Wanna go outside.

Oh, crap! Help! I got outside!

Let me back inside!

--

We're almost equals

I woof to show I love you

Want to smell my butt?

--

A/N: I am actually not the greatest fan of dogs, even though some are totally cute! But my aunt wrote a poem similar to this only using cats, and I became inspired.
