Silence

Do you know what being blind truly is?

It's what people saw when I cried.

It’s what people saw when I bled.

Do you know what being numb truly is?

It’s what people felt when I was cold.

It's what people felt when I was in pain.

Do you know what being deaf truly is?

It's what people heard when I was calling or help.

It’s what people heard when I begged for release.

Do you know what silence truly is?

It's the sound of inner suffering.

It's what people heard when I screamed.

It's people heard when I said "Goodbye."
