Note: I feel that, as a young adult with creative leanings, it is my solemn duty to write poetry on subjects I know little to nothing about, such as love and life. So here is my “rot and poetry. Rotten poetry.” (And if you know what work I’m alluding to, you deserve a treat. Not that I’ll give you one.)

Love is much more than the world says it is.
It can’t be held in an act, or a ring,
or a feeling.
Love is a choice that can hold all the world,
Encompassing mankind in its open arms.
But can all the world hold love?
