Dedicated to my Grandfather; may he rest in peace

What will happen at the end?
Life will run its course
As a freely flowing river;
But what happens when that river
Flows into the raging sea?
What would happen should the river
Be lost to chaos? Would the
River be corrupted by the salt?
But even if it was, yes,
Even if the salt corrupts
Life goes on, changed little.
But we know the river will
Stop flowing and run dry,
As life flows to the open,
Chaotic sea.
