Will you come sit with me in the garden?
Will you come? See the autumn outside in the garden behind the fence… I sit in the hammock and rock slowly… I know you can’t see my eyes, but believe me; they’re shining for you. I know it is cold, but if you would come, I’d give you a warm sweater. I realise it itches a bit, wool can do that sometimes, but it would keep the heat of your heart. I sit now in my coat, and yes, I do dress like an onion, and my leather coat does hamper me a bit, but I’ve been sitting around waiting for you for a while. It doesn’t bother me.
If you would come, I would ask you to sit with me. I would ask you to lean back against me so I could hold you for a while. To wrap my arms around you and imprison you. Just for a little while. I promise, I’ll set you free again, but just for a little while…
If you would come, I would rest my leaning head on your shoulder from behind you, while you were lying there with my arms around you. I would look at your hands, and after a while, I would take them in mine, so our arms would be next to each other too. I would cup your hands in mine, and I would stroke your thumbs with mine, through the holes of my fingerless mittens. Caressing your nails, just gently tickling along your thumbs, slowly…
To try to simply express a love beyond words…
