Too Late:

Trying to explain how I feel

Is like explaining after death

The only people who understand

Are those who dont draw breath

I never have

I may never know

How I feel

Or what to show

Sometimes its easy

To put feelings to a word

Other times harder

It all seems absurd

The mind is so tricky

It listens to none

The heart's even worse

As it's second to none

If your heart says you love them

But your brain knows it can't be

You may as well not even listen

Cause its the heart that can see

Your eyes, your mind,

The thoughts we comprehend

Are ignored by the heart

Right up to the end

Taken or single

The heart doesn't care

It doesn't bother with formalities

As long as they're there

When your heart says you love someone

You had better act soon

Cause if not you'll be lost

Like the night with no moon

No light and no guidance

Like a void in deep space

It won't matter your looks

It wont matter your grace

Your heart is the one

To listen to now

Do not think of when

Why, what, or how,

Just do as it says

And you best do so quick

Cause if they find other love

You'll end up heartsick

You'll end up like me

Too little to late

Too late to build up love

And let it inflate

If you let them slip away

You may feel as though you're life's done

Knowing too late

They could be the one

So act quickly act now

Don't let this one get by

For all you know this could be

The one you love till you die.
