If I Hate You, Why Do I Love You?

You make me so mad.

I hate you so bad.

But why when I see you,

Do butterflies appear?

Fluttering around.

Are my feet still on the ground?

You tie me in knots.

Everyone just goes on like robots.

The tingling feeling,

You’ve got me reeling.

I want to sock your pretty face,

Make you into the disgrace.

I want the answer,

You’re not my master.

You’re such a fool.

You’re everyone’s tool.

You pretend to know me.

Please, just let me be me.

I hate you so much,

But why does it feel like I can’t make it to lunch?

I need you so bad.

But you don’t know what you had.

You left me for no reason.

And now my heart has committed an act of treason.

Alone I sit, and wait for you.

I stare at the ground, and then I see your shoe.

You always come back.

Ready to try another path, another track.

I can’t help but wonder

If I hate you so much,

Why is my heart in turmoil?

If I hate you,

Why do I think I love you, too?
