"I swear I loved you---
---the only way I could
but sometimes it proves that love is not enough.
I gave what I had--flaws and all—
And hoped that you would see it,
Care and appreciate the strife
But pain seeped through the cracks of the floor
And I'll admit I'm not perfect;
Trust is my downfall.
And you:
So amazing I'm just not worthy.
Oh, the naivety of a first love!
Oh, to feel it from a child's heart again!
Hard love is love just the same
And I never meant to play these games
I swear I loved you---
---the only way I could
But sometimes it proves that love is not enough."
