Ninja Star

(Inspired by none other than"Cowboy Bebop")

"Masajiro Kosuke"

A studio apartment sat scattered in soda cans, pizza boxes and random other garbage- not to mention adult magazines. Across from the rummaged bed where the man slept was a short dresser where a lantern-style lamp and digital clock sat, next to an open wallet, reading the tenants name- "Masajiro Kosuke"- in the photo, he looked nearly stoned. A samurai sword hung just above the bed, the one thing that looked like it meant something to this- Masajiro. Underneath it was a line of six gleaming, razor sharp shuriken, the middle two in cases. He laid on his low futon bed in a comforter at his waist, exposing his toned chest and arms.

Bzeep...

He turned over and unplugged his alarm, then slowly, painfully sat up. He opened the dresser and put on a pair of pants, then stuck his wallet in one pocket, then walked to his kitchen which was just as much of a dump as his room.

He kicked over empty cartons and clothes as he opened up the fridge, decorated by bank magnets and a calendar of bikini'd women. He grabbed out a carton of goat's milk and opened it, drinking from it. He kicked the fridge closed and turned towards his windows, oppostie where the fridge was. The clear glass was shaped like an "L" and gave an angelic view of Nagoya. The sky was a deep burgundy at only five in the morning, but the city lit as much as ever. He saw a peice of paper auspiciously wedged in the door. He walked to it. Seeing one side was blank, he flipped it over.

"EVICTION NOTICE".

He hung his head and sighed, running one hand through his perfectly spiked black, shoulder length hair.

"That's just too damn bad," he said, calm and unnaffected. "What a way to start the morning," he said, looking down at the city with a twisted smile.
