Gargoyles

None but a coward dares to boast that he has never known fear.”

-Ferdinand Foch (1851 - 1929)

Two Gruesome faces, etched in stone

Their icy cold stare will make you groan

The heads are fearsome, strange and uncanny

They aren’t your normal household granny

What ghastly secrets, do these spirits know?

Through time, and sorrow, when the wind does blow

Their hollowed mouths have a sinister feel

Perhaps you could be their very next meal

When the world is dark and dim and gloomy

And the streets are large and wide and roomy

That is the time of the monsters, I fear

They work their evil at dark each year
