"I shall not!" Tarna yelled. "I shall never marry a person I don't love!"
"You haven't even met the man!" her counsilor said. "Try it at least! The person already came."
"Fine!" Tarna said. As soon as she sees how bad the person was, she would finally get an excuse to escape the marriage.
A maid brought in a man. He had short blue hair that was spiked at the end. He had a serious face on, and his turqoiuse eyes showed that he was feeling exactly like Tarna.
"Master William has arrived." the maid said.
"William, huh?" Tarna said.
"Tarna!" the counsilor said. "Where are your manners?"
"Who knows?" Tarna said. The cousilor looked at Tarna expectantly.
"Fine, fine. Welcome Prince William. I welcome you to my humble home and hope you take liking to it and enjoy your time." Tarna said in a bored tone, rolling her eyes. As if people couldn't make up anything more interesting to say.
"I shall hope so." William said, responding as he should. He bowed politely.
Oh look, Tarna said to herself. A goody-two shoes, who is the perfect prince and all that stuff.
Tarna got annoyed and walked right out of the room. The counsilor tried to call her back, but it didn't work.
---
Tarna was practicing sword fighting in a flower field. She was using the holy blade, Genrouta, so she could get used to it when she used it for real fighting.
"This field is really beautiful, you know. No wonder you don't mind the hot climate."
However, unfortunately for her, William found her.
"Why do you practice fighting? Girls don't need to learn." William asked.
Tarna slashed at him, missing on purpose. She just had to take her anger out on him. Of course, Mr. Oh-so-Perfect could understand. He was probably the good little boy of the household, not understanding how the world can be.
"Well I do when I'm the ruler. A ruler needs to protect her people, for justice." Tarna said, slashing on at William, while he kept dodging. Idiot! The least he could do was be a man and let Tarna at least hurt him a bit. Yes, be a gentleman and help the girl out. Oh wait. Of course, he wouldn't know that. He's not really a gentleman. Just an idiot teacher's pet, following his parent's orders like a dog.
"Justice? There's no such thing. You can't separate things into only good and evil." William said harshly. "I thought a sensible girl like you would know that."
"Shut up!" Tarna said lunging at him. He doesn't know anything. My parents were killed by evil things for money! You can't say that there was good in those people. "What would you know?"
William caught her in the position and threw her down.
"More than you." he said walking away. "Just give up."
Tarna got up slowly. It wasn't a real throw, so she wasn't hurt.
"That boy...." She said angrily.
---
Tarna lay in bed, next to William. Stupid counsilor! Even if he is my fiancee, he doesn't have to stay in the same bed!
Tarna got fed up and got out of bed. She looked outside the window, just to make sure there was no one outside. Then, she took a quiver full of arrows, a bow, and a coil of rope. First, she attatched the rope to and arrow. Then she aimed down at the ground, and let the arrow fly. As soon as she was sure it was fully down, she tied the rope onto a hook that was on the outside of the window, used for drying clothes. Then, Tarna swung her legs over the rope, and slid down. Even though it was a long reach, Tarna had done it before and was a expert.
Tarna then took her bow and arrows and went to the field that she was practicing her swordplay in earlier.
Little did Tarna know that she was alone.
---
William got of bed as soon as he was sure that Tarna had gone out the window.
"That girl I swear is mad!" He hissed as he tried to find a lantern. He found one soon after and slid down the rope carefully and swiftly. Then he followed the faint footmarks on the ground.
---
Tarna rest in the shade of the tree. Looking at the sky, she saw it was a clear blue. Just like her mother's eyes.
Before she knew it, tears were coming out of her eyes.
"People usually don't cry when staring at the sky. What's going on?"
William seems to have followed her.
"What are you doing here?" Tarna said, wiping her tears away quickly.
William ignored her question, and instead, went to her and held her in a tight embrace.
"It's okay to cry. It's okay. Just tell me what happened." he said soothingly. Tarna collapsed and started to cry on his shoulder.
"The sky...is the color of Mother's eyes...before she was taken....killed...by that..bloody bastard." Tarna said, half crying half screaming.
"Everything's going to be okay." William said. Yet he felt really weird holding Tarna. His heart was beating really fast, and his neck was red.
"No! No it's not! My parents was killed by that bitch! He only pretended to be friends so he could kill them and take their money!" Tarna said, still crying. "They're never...!.....Never going to come back..."
"Shh...it will be okay. After all, they always be watching from heaven." William said.
"And Mother....she loved this field..." Tarna said.
"Who couldn't? It's lovely." William said. Tarna managed a weak smile.
"Yeah, I guess." she said, starting to cry less, but still went on. She didn't stop until sunrise.
---
"Lady Tarna! Pirates are attacking the city!" a messenger said, running into the room.
Tarna stood up, taking Genrouta in her hand.
"Then I shall go." she said.
"What?! Leave this to the men!" The counsilor. Tarna swung Genrouta around, the tip at the counsilor's neck.
"I am the people's ruler. They need me to help protect them. I shall not abandon them in their time of need and leave the matter to some know nothing men!" Tarna said, her voice soft and angry.
---
William sat up.
"What! Tarna went off to fight pirates herself?! That girl...." William said, getting his spear ready.
"Master William! You should stay in the castle! It is dangerous in the city!" A maid said chasing him. However, William was already on his horse.
"I am not the type of man who leaves his wife to die!" William said, riding away.
Darn you Tarna! Why fight if you do not have the strength needed to use Genrouta? Why must you always be so hot-headed and when will you start using your head.
---
Tarna was losing. She was quite good, but she was outnumbered greatly.
"I wish I could summon Genrouta's magic!" She said. She piloted her pegasi around all the pirates to save the people who couldn't escape.
As Tarna put a little girl down on an escape wagon, the girl pointed to Tarna's pegasi. Tarna turned and saw and arrow slying through the air.
"Makar, come on!" Tarna said, yelling to her pegasi.
Makar flew up, only heading towards another pirate. Tarna knowing that she couldn't last any longer, closed her eyes, and waited for death.
It didn't come. Tarna opened her eyes, and saw William killing a pirate.
"Come on! If we work together, we can summon Genrouta's magic." William said. "Just concentrate on the power flowing through it."
Tarna closed her eyes and started to concentrate. Words started to come out of her mouth. William slashed away all the pirates coming.
"Tarna, we won't be gone long. We'll just be with a friend."
Nine year old Tarna started to cry but nodded anyway.
"I love you mommy." Tarna said.
"I love you too."
And then, there they
were. Her parents body, dead. Red blood fell on the ground, mixing
with Tarna's tears.
"I will get revenge! I shall! I won't die until I do!"
A bright light flashed up. All the pirates started to flee, while the citiznes watched it. The light started to flash strike at the pirates, killing them all.
"Genrouta's Thunder..." Tarna said, awed by the sight. Soon, all the pirates had either died or ran away.
Tarna fell down, blood rushing from her hand.
"Tarna!" William yelled.
"Take me to the field of flowers once more. The one....you liked." Tarna said, closing her eyes.
---
William was carrying Tarna to the field of flowers. The flowers had all bloomed and made a beautiful rainbow of color.
"Wow...I never knew it could look like this..."Tarna said, awestruck.
"Yeah, it's pretty isn't it." William said sitting down.
"I'm just glad I could be here...once more...with you." Tarna said, falling on William's shoulder.
"Hey, don't get too comfortable there." William said. Then he noticed how cold Tarna's face was.
"Tarna! Open your eyes! Tarna!! You haven't even got revenge on your parents' killers!! Tarna!!" William said, shaking her body.
Tarna had a smile on her face when she had died.
---
"So William, you agree to take Genrouta and protect the land as ruler." The counsilor said.
"No, not Genrouta. It's Tarna. She fought off the pirates with this sword, so her spirit shall stay here forever." William said.
"You are now the appointed the official king."
William raised the royal blade up, making it glint in the light.
Tarna, I promise not to disappoint you. I shall protect this land, for justice!
---
Tarna watched William, floating above his head. Her white wings spread out, making feathers fly. She smiled at William's comment, and answered back.
Heehee, you better, or else. It's bad luck to break a promise.
Tarna flew over to William and gave him a peck on the cheek. She then disappeared, leaving the world and going into heaven, to join her parents.

The. End. (Or is it?)
