Forgetting the Unforgotten

It hurts so bad inside

To know that I'm trapped within you

Your soul is a kidnapper

And I'm its prisoner

-----------------------------------------------------------------

You may think that I’m just a toy

A mere plaything that feels no pain

Well I've got some news for you

I’m a human being

-----------------------------------------------------------------

You should be ashamed

I loved you

I cared about you

I would die for you

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I wish you could see it through my eyes

Everyday gets worse

The pain, the hurt, and the sorrow

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I'm drowning in your eyes

Please stop this insanity

Make me stop shedding my blood

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I saw you smile

As I slowly melted like a lighted candle

Then you left me

All alone

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I'd do anything to see you smile

I thought you felt the same

But I've been visited by reality

And see only betrayal

-----------------------------------------------------------------

When you left, you forgot something

You forgot to unlock this cage

The shackles chained to my legs

Are still squeezing tight

-----------------------------------------------------------------

You left in a rage

Forgetting the unforgotten

Your love

Me

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Crying alone in her prison

Your prison

Your soul
