Sands of Time
You walk on silent feet,
To the misty figure,
"Welcome to the gate of time,
all of pure heart are welcome here,
so open the door,
step in and take a taste of magic,
good luck little traveler,
I wish thee well,
for if you chose the wrong path,
you will end up in Hell."
Up into eyes of clearest garnet red
you look, "be careful young one I don’t
Want you dead."
With that cryptic statement she hands
you a key, points to a door, "goodbye kind guardian."
you say as you leave, past the many dangers you walk,
frightened sometimes, praying for peace,
you try your hardest and finally reach the door.
Now you put in the key and turn it,
The old door sticks so you push with all you might,
It falls open and below you
You see a garden, and many other sights to lovely to describe.
A twinkling voice calls,
"welcome wary traveler, to the sands of time,
the peaceful home of the writers, the poets, the deamers, the singers, and
now You." where am I you think and a soft voice answers *heaven*
