Life is like a game of poker
The dealer shuffles well
Between each hand
Never the same thing twice

Hearts
The most fleeting suit of all
Seems like everybody else holds the cards
And I'm left in the dark

Betting our lives
As we play out the game
Lose and it's gone
No second chances today

Clubs
A straight and I've won
Violence breaks out
Because they're all jealous

Shuffle again -
I'm tired of these cards
Shuffle again -
But this hand I'd rather keep

Diamonds
Distributed evenly
Except for that one guy
Who hoards them all

Deal me in
Another joker joins
Complicating the scene
Too much to think about

Spades
Slipped in, sabotaging my full house
Cheaters aren't supposed to win
I figure that's a lie

Double or Nothing
I'll bet it all this time
Shuffle again -
Let's get this game started
