About life up to date

The past and the present

Of tears and of fate

I’ve been thinking so much

I’ve been losing sleep

I’ve accomplished nothing

I scarcely eat

I’ve accomplished nothing

To review everything and all

I’ve only succeeded

In making me bawl

Mistakes uncovered

Regrets of the past

I fear I can’t change things

I sigh, Alas!

My heart has been cold

Weary and dreary

Will I find that the end

Of the tunnel is nearing?

--

Will I find that I am

Nothing at all?

Forever unknown

The earth do I crawl
