The Zombie Song

I'm so tired of being dead,
While all these vermin gnaw at my head,
And if they have to eat, I wish that they would just eat,
‘Cause these rats still linger here,
And they've chewed through to the bone.

Refrain:
These scars won't seem to heal,
My legs I cannot feel,
There's just too much that's falling off my face.
When I rise I'll bite off both of your ears,
I'll drink your blood with a hasty “cheers”,
I've been in the ground for so many years,
But I'm still a... zombie.

I used to walk ‘round freely in the sunshine, that accursed light,
Now I'm dead and the fates are far less kind;
My visage haunts
All my living friends dreams,
Now that I've passed away,
Lots of creatures live in me.

These scars won't seem to heal,
My legs I cannot feel,
There's just too much that's falling off my face.
When I rise I'll bite off both of your ears,
I'll drink your blood with a hasty “cheers”,
I've been in the ground for so many years,
But I'm still a... zombie.

I've tried so hard to tell myself not to feast,
I look vaguely human, but I'm still a brain-slurping beast.

When I rise I'll bite off both of your ears,
I'll drink your blood with a hasty “cheers”,
I've been in the ground for so many years,
But I'm still a... zombie.
