A starving Moon swallowed the Sun,

Shadows crept into every corner of a fallen world.

Feats of architecture crumbled down to ruin,

The sky became eternal obsidian,

The court of evil dropped its gavel.

From the mist, Night’s floating veil,

Arose those who never breathe, never die,

Natural predators twisted from humanity,

Fallen angels ignoring redemption’s cry,

A high price to be paid for damned immortality.

A hungering darkness consumed a light eclipsed,

A breath of evil doomed a now fallen world,

The sapphire sky has fallen,

Replaced by cold obsidian,

The colours of life are a dream long forgotten.

A starving Moon swallowed the Sun,

Shadows crept into a shattered world,

Under reign of darkness, where hope is gone…
