Fall down and

Lay my head

On this concrete block

Shadows creep through my dreams

And dead love whispers softly

Cold on my lips

His darkness dripping with ice

He reminds me nothing’s real

And everything will fade away

Those who are dearest

Will never be nearest

No matter how far I travel

Across the land

Running through waste

Dust filling my mouth

Fireflies dancing my death like his

Reaching out to a crumbling effigy

Only to tumble through air and

Crash through glass falling from skies

Into a meadow of wilting amaranth

I sigh and close my eyes

To drift back to reality

Where pain filters through my veins

Brain constantly going insane

With memories overpowering

Teasing me with your presence gone

But your voice keeps telling me

Despair shall save us all one day

Now bow your head and pray
