Ode to Procrastination

Oh, Dear Procrastination

What would I do without you?

I would further my education

That would be too much of a slew

How boring that would be

Nearly everyone would agree

There is no point to success

Without any recess

So I sit here

Two minutes ‘til

Homework time drawing near

But I just want to chill

Why go through this unnecessary effort?

It’s a torture of some sort

Homework time has begun

Hopefully soon I’ll be done

And then I can have fun

So until then I bid you adieu

Because this schoolwork I must pursue

Slew- turn sharply; change direction abruptly

Author’s Note- This is my Ode to Procrastination, seeing as there’s an ode to pretty much everything else. If you couldn’t see, I am avoiding doing my homework...what a wicked creature it is.
