Superstar

I see You from afar
But it’s not who You are
Just a powdered image
Somethingwe wanted to see

Sculptured in a stone, in a wood
Painted in a canvass, in a wall, in a paper
Captured in letters, strung together to form the words
Images of You divides us

Confusion stirs
Made by human errs
Your image was torn to distortion
Still You are to blame

Mutiny is heard all over the place
For Your name they will berate
Prides are aching
Defense are waxing

You are everyone’s superstar
Be it mockery or praise
You are everyone’s superstar
Through love and hate

You bled and died
Still you got the blame
All the world’s suffering
Still thrown on your name

No one even cared
Cared to look at You
Cared to know just how You feel
Cared to bother if You’re shedding a tear

All we know is to blame
Blame the Superstar
Push You to the distance
Turn our back from Your grace

No one even cared
Cared to look at the Superstar…
Am I one of those who makes You cry?
Or one of those who makes You smile?
