Losing Her
written by the Vulpecula
She was across the room, sitting with a friend. They talked animatedly amongst themselves, laughing, smiling. I couldn't help but to smile slightly myself, but it was sad, a smile to distract myself from the pain that was really tearing at me underneath. She was happy. I had to be happy for her.
They giggled again, and the girl pulled the object of my affection into an embrace. I shivered. I could still see them, blurry as they were, as tears filled my eyes. But soon more people filled the room and I lost sight of her, crushing my hopes and every last thing I held on to.
It was almost like losing her completely.
