Consequences

Disease laced with chaos

In a world torn by hate

You are deaf to endeavor

The cries of tonight

----------------------------------------------------------------

The river steadily flowing

Faded as you parted

----------------------------------------------------------------

It's too late to take it back

Too late for a second chance

It's over now

We've come to an end

----------------------------------------------------------------

You fled from your pain

The only way you knew how

Ended up in a new world

A world without the pain

Although without me

----------------------------------------------------------------

You couldn't bear to think

That I had finally moved on

After all this time

So you took the knife unto your wrist

And slaughtered what could have been great

----------------------------------------------------------------

The sad thing about it

Is that you died for me

You didn't take the time to ask me how I felt

So now I face the consequences of your actions

I, and I alone

----------------------------------------------------------------

Blood now running down my wrist

Dripping slowly onto the snow

Burning a scar into the grass

Lying here beside your grave

----------------------------------------------------------------

Telling the world goodbye

Because now I must go in search for you

To explain that you were wrong

I have always loved you

----------------------------------------------------------------

I'm slowly fading into oblivion

My soul has long went faint

Lying here among the snow

I begin my journey to forever

In search of you
