Learn to Trust

To get what I want I must learn to trust
But how do I trust when trust always hurts?
Is it something that I can learn?
Or should I just learn to tolerate the pain?
I want to learn, teach me to trust
Once I can trust I can do anything I want
But first, I must learn this lesson without pain
Don't stab me in the back let me finally trust
Let me learn to trust someone, pain free
Or is this just an unattainable dream?
