Falling into the sky

Drowning in a sea of starlight

The galaxy is at my fingertips

The world has no end

I can see past the endless infinity

Into the soul of the universe

A milky, starry necklace about Night’s ebony throat

The wonder takes hold of me

I am but a tiny part of this wondrous, dazzling whole

Every day, and every night, is a miracle

The sky arches over me, endless obsidian studded with starlight

Next to that majestic emptiness, I am nothing

But I have found my place to stand

And perhaps someday I will move the world
