its waters bright and dim.
By day it illuminates my frights,
by night as cold as sin.
Two forests at my sides
to guide me with temptation.
One shines pale irridescent white;
the other unlit from neglection.
Not a simgle beam of light above
nor soil at my feet.
Just the trees, the creek, and myself
viewing these standards I must meet.
No light ahead nor light behind,
the distractions now are gone.
No colors around but in my creek
and naught but the sound of its song.

so I stop for a rest and climb up a tree
to finally partake in my eternal sleep.
