"In her eyes you see nothing
No sign of love behind the tears"
She bottles up her negative emotions, saving them for a rainy day. The hate, the spite, the anger and sadness, all labelled and stored in the darkest corners of her mind, ready to be unleashed at a moment's notice. The shift comes suddenly, unexpectedly. Her eyes flash, her mouth opens in a snarl, forked tongue tasting your fear. Your face drains, as a sound like crypt stones grating builds in crescendo from the fires of her scarred soul. She vomits a torrent of unbridled fury onto you, enveloping you with a sticky sickly discharge of pain and anguish. It stings your eyes, burns your flesh, knocking you off your feet in a dizzying swoon which sends you to your knees. The sound has gone, only a distant echo in your clogged ears, and the wind has died. You scratch at your eyes, emitting gutteral whimperings and groans, desperately trying to regain vision. Your eyes are watering, unable to see beyond the thick plasma. Finally you regain sight in one reddened eye, and you look up warily. She stands nearby, head down, her dark hair hanging forlornly, obscuring her face. You want to say something, to voice your incomprehension, but no sound comes forth. She seems to sense your presence again. She looks up and at you. Face of stone, emotionless. She turns and departs, without a word, leaving you to your bewilderment. She is gone. You will never see her again. You will never see her again...
