Dirt

Obstacles in life

aren’t always so simple

the rollercoaster rises

the rollercoaster falls

we all trip over that

bump in the road.

I’ve fallen many times

I’ve caught myself

and saved myself

and always rise again.

Rising is hard sometimes

you get so low that you

just want to stay down.

But staying down isn’t healthy

the ground is cold

the taste of dirt is unwelcoming

I’m not very fond of the dirt.

So I get up again

I face my obstacles

and catch myself from falling.

I don’t want to taste dirt again.
