Dragons, one of the most popular medieval creatures. They have been the center of many legends and tales. Without these creatures, life would just not be as exciting.

Yet, this story I am about to tell you is true. Before I begin let me tell you the history of Drachonia.

The Dragons of L’chra or dragons of the elements created this beautiful land, forming it from their own claws.

The dragons of L’chra included: earth, wind, fire, and water. After the dragons created this paradise, man came.

At first, man and dragon fought, but in the year of the human king Martka, an accord was made between man and dragon.

This agreement was called ‘The Accord of Martka’ Martka was kind, but full of fury when fighting his enemies.

After the agreement was made many humans refused to befriend the dragons, so they escaped to the Desert of Grotik. After many battles between the Drachors, the dragon lovers, and the Antors, the dragon haters, the latter of the two ran back to the Desert of Grotik.

Since then, there have been no sight of the Antors and the Drachors could finally rest in peace. Several generations later Martka’s line perished from existence. When this happened, the Antors saw their chance. They stole several dozen dragon eggs and raised them to hate Drachors. The Antors called these dragons Trachons, or dragons of darkness.

The Dragons of L’chra hated that the Antors corrupted their own kind, so they used their magic to seal the Desert of Grotik off from the kingdom of Scalekor, the first kingdom of Drachonia.

Arrak, the Ivory Dragon and king of the dragons knew that one day the Antors would return and future generations would need the help of the Dragons of L’chra, so he sealed their power in crystals and dispersed them in the Elemental Temples to be awakened by the Yoturi, or chosen one.

He then tore one scale off of his body and laid it in Martka’s tomb. Once he saw that Drachonia would one day be safe from the Antors he and the Dragons of L’chra flew into the sky to never return again. Since then the Dragons of L’chra and Arrak have been considered gods, protecting the people of Drachonia in every event.
