I’ll Never Say “I Love You”

I’ll never say “I love you.”
I swear, I never will.
I won’t ever say those three little words.
And my heart will never be blue.

I’ll never say “I love you.”
I promise, I’ll die first.
The stars can stay out of my eyes.
I don’t want to be ripped in two.

I’ll never say “I love you.”
I’m not pretty enough for that.
I never want to say it.
It’s meaning is never true.

I’ll never say “I love you.”
The words I’ll never need to say.
I never want to see that spark.
I’d rather catch the flu.

I’ll never say “I love you.”
I swear it’s in my destiny.
I don’t want to hurt myself.
I fear my heart I never knew.

I’ll never say “I love you.”
For fear it’s much too late.
My heart has already fallen.
I never had a clue.

I’ll never say “I love you.”
And mean it through and through.

I’ll never say “I love you.”
To anyone but you.
