Prologue

It is said that everyone has a Guardian Angel or Spirit that watches over them. They are unseen, unfelt presences who protect those under their charge. On rare occasions, they will incarnate on Earth if their ward is under grave danger. It is dangerous for the Guardians because once they step foot upon the mortal world, they experience all that mortals experience-including love. It often ends in tragedy, and that is why many hesitate to appear on Earth, even if it means that their ward can be saved from peril.
