I don't know if this came out the way i wanted it, it started as one thing and then ended up being another. R&R and tell me what you think. I actualy think this poem suchs ass and if i get anymore bead reviews, i will remove it and burn it. I should really get rid of the second part because that is (i think) the worst part. R&R...

The Darkness Consumes & The Light Saves

The Darkness Consumes

I’m sitting in the dark,

All alone,

No one to see,

Nowhere to go.

The dark consumes me,

Confuses and dooms me.

It sucks me in,

Threatens to swallow me up,

It tries to defeat,

The hope in side,

The hope that still burns bright.

It lights my way, out of the dark.

But the dark persists,

To draw me in,

It pulls and tugs, holding me back,

Dragging me away from the light of hope.

Try as I might I can not fight it off,

Down, down it pulls,

Escape is futile,

Life is drawn away,

Pulled from my heart.

No point left to survive,

The hope is gone,

Sucked away by the dark,

The darkness of my soul.

The Light Saves

The light is rekindled,

The hope revived,

I am awakened from my eternal sleep.

A sweet melody rises from the darkness,

Pulling me upward,

Toward the light and out of the eternal dark.

The darkness fights,

Grabs and stretches,

Anything to prevent me from escaping its evil clutches.

The music overpowers,

Calms and collects,

It destroys the dark and saves me from my deadly fate.
