As I watch seconds pass,

Brings me closer to death,

That’s been waiting,

It waited until I found my happiness,

What could be,

Trying to push me under,

Bring me closer to death,

I see the knife,

Those pills,

That drink,

Millions of things,

Promise to take my pain away,

Then there is the rose,

An elephant,

A smile,

A voice,

A kiss,

No promises given,

They were never needed,

Anything real is unconditional,

How selfish Iwas,

Thinking my life was my own,

Tired of fighting,

For something that means nothing,

This loathing I have,

Made myself believe I didn’t deserve,

Anything,

All I have is this,

My voice,

I refuse to give up,

I will sing until there is no air in my body,

I will love until my blood runs dry,
