Sugar, Ebilness, and So Much More!
Chapter One
--Luna--
One, two, three...
"Luuuuuunnnnaaa"
...four, five, six...
"Luna?"
...seven...
"Luna!?"
...eight, nine...
"Luna, -bawls- Why are you ignoring me? -sniff-"
...te-...
"ARTEMIS!!!!!!" I screamed/whined trying to shake the ten-year old girl who had latched onto my leg. "I -shake- was trying -shake- to keep my temper!!! -shakeshake-" My eyes were glowing like flames. At least that was the look I was trying to express. Considering Artemis's still latched on state, I doubt it was working. Damn her imperviousness.
"Do you need help Lady Luna?" I turned my seething eyes to the most disgusting thing in the world at this time. The reason I had been counting in the first place.
"No, Prince Frosting. I think I can deal with my dear sister by myself." I hissed at him. Okay, his name isn't really Frosting, it's Frost, which actually not much better. What can I say his parents must be deranged. Just like my parents. I mean come on who honestly names their kid Luna?
...At least it isn't Frost. -giggle-
Artemis detatched herself.
"Frosting? Where?" She asked with wide eyes. What can I say she's a sugar magnet. It gets her uber hyper, not that she's not hyper already. Mother tells us not to give her 'green-haired moppet'(her words not mine) sugar without permission from her. An idea came to me and an evil smile rose to my lips. I would have cackled evilly, but that would reveal my beautiful plans. Mwahahahahahaha.
"On the cookies in the kitchen of course. Prince Frost why don't you get them for her." I replied sweetly. See here was the plan. A) Get Artemis super hyper B) Tell Artemis that Mr. Frosty wants to play C) Cackle evilly as the visiting prince is tormented. You see when in super duper hyper state Artemis only listens to two people: Mother dearest, and me. Get me annoyed and I sic Artemis on ya! Mwahahahahahaha.
"Ok, I'll ask a guard where the kitchen is. I'll be right back Lady Artemis." Good boy get the cookie, good boy.

"Luna. I can't believe you did that." I rolled my eyes at my slightly younger sister, Athena. She was looking at me over a book. Her rectangle glasses placed fimly on her nose and silky lavedar hair floating down her back. She may be younger then me, but that was only by physical age. She acted several years older.I pouted.
"But, Atheeeeena. He was sooo annoying."
"Stop whining. It is not becoming of a future queen." She said into her book, which she was reading again. I sighed before turning back to the window. Prince Frost had left the day before. He used the polite excuse of 'your youngest is a tyrant on my nerves' or something akin to that. I of course had gotten a scolding from my father. Though I kept telling him that it wasn't my fault that Prince Frosting didn't know of Artemis' little sugar problem.
...Mwahahahaha. It had been such an ebil plan, it had.
"Mwahahahahaha." I repeated out loud. A pillow came flying at me. "Ow!" I snatched the pillow up and searched for the perpretraitor. Who dares interupt my ebil laughing!?
I whipped my head around looking for the guilty one. Athena was humming to herself, still reading. Well, as much reading as one can get down when doing the book is upside down. I dove onto the couch on top of her shouting my war cry. I then proceeded to tickly my purple-haired sister. She screamed at my merciless tickling.
"Stop! Stop!" she said through her laughing tears.
"NEEEVVVVAAAAAA!" I shouted. She must learn what happens when she-oof she kicked me! Grrrrrrr. I proceeded to continue tickling.
A voice cleared it's throat. I stopped and looked up giving Athena enough time to escape my clutches. For now. Hehehehe.
Athena fixed her glasses and straightened out her dress. I of course did nothing. What should I care of my dishelved state. It's not like I'm a princess.
...Wait... I am dammit I need to stop forgetting that.
"The King wishes to remind you that dinner will be served in one hour and he sends a special memo to the Crown Princess Luna to remember a rich ally and his son are going to be there." said the 'mister I can clear my throat' servant. I stuck my tongue out at his retreating figure.
I felt Athena roll her eyes at me. Oh yes she will pay... After I get ready for dinner. Yesh, dinner. For my and my black hole stomach to devour. Mmmmm....
I saluted to Athena and made my way to my room.

I stared at the creature in front of me. Silver hair tied back in a braid, with a small golden crown resting atop its head. Its skin was pale, pale white, but its eyes were a dark twilight blue. It wore a dress of the same shade of its eyes.I growled at the creature. How dare it look like me!?
I heard a bell chime through the castle and my ears perked up.
Food! Food was gooood. Yum, yum.
I started skipping out the door and into the hall. Right smack dab into my nurse, Tildy. There were clothes on the floor around her fallen figure. I wonder how they got there?
She glared at me and I made a pathetic noise akin to 'eep' and ran off toward the dining room. Better a scolding later then a scolding now. I'm hungry.
I then proceeded to burst into the dining room with a loud bang. I was going to yell out something like 'I hunger! Food! Now!', but then I caught sight of the rich merchant and his son.
If I remembered correctly this was the first time father was meeting the rich ally face to face. I know he wanted to make a good impression on the man. Looking at the two guests though one would not think them rich merchants. They reminded me of peasants dressing up in noble's clothing. They had a different air about them. I trust my guts on this sort of thing. I was usually right.
So suspicious I made my way to my seat across from the merchant's son. I scrutinized the boy very carefully. I didn't like the way he looked. He had short black curly hair and eyes the color of a serpants tail. Green eyes wasn't a trait normal people had. The were devil's eyes they were.
"Ah, there is my eldest, Crown Princess Luna." I looked up at my father's voice. He was looking at me suspicious and I smiled innocently. You'd think he'd have more trust in his oldest child. So of course not to have him think himself wrong I stuck my tongue out at him. I swore he sighed in relief. I could feel the boy's eyes look oddly at me. Another thing to add to the bad sign list.
"Luna?"
"Yes" I said answering my father all cutesy like.
"This is Lord Hilton and his son Tuomath Hilton." I smiled brightly at them but narrowed my twilight eyes.
"Tuomath is a Territer name is it not?" I asked sweetly. Territers were barbarian people from the south. They were more then often gypsies or brigands. Most were the latter however. I watched expertly as Lord Hilton and his son tensed up. I ignored my father's glare however.
"I do not know. My mother thought it was original." Tuomath replied flowering his speech in a way I could tell he was not used to doing.
"Tuomath. A Territer name meaning 'sly one'. A name that needs authority of an elder to name your child it." I smiled and turned to Athena. "That is correct Athena, isn't it? Tuomath is an Authoritory Name?" Athena looked up from the book she was reading under the table.
"Huh!? Oh! Yes," she fixed up her glasses. "Tuomath is one of the twenty Territer Authoritory Nam-Hey how did you know that!? I thought you were sleeping when I was reading that book outloud." I smiled sweetly.
"Know what?" I asked. She scowled at me.
"That Tuomath was an Authoritory Name. It's one of the lesser known ones." I smiled again.
"Is it really? I'll have to remember that..." I was tired of playing smart so now it was time to play in general! Athena sighed, knowing I had switched personalities on her. She's used to it. It's not that I have a disorder I just don't like it when people know what to suspect. Ruins all the fun in life.
Anyway I didn't need to play smart anymore. Father had gotten the message. His eyes were flashing everywhere. From me to Lord Hilton and to the guards. Father trusted my intuition. He knew that I was much more clever than I acted.
Unfortuantly I was not the only one who caught my father's glances. Mr. Tuomath who so grandely sits across from from me, also caught the look. Either that or he was just going to do what he did anyway.
He flew across the table at me and whipped out a knife. Now I know from experience that pointy objects are not soft and cuddly. So of course I didn't like how the knife was getting quite intimate with my throat area.
"Don't do anything or the crown princess dies." he hissed. I glared holes into his skull. He probably thought me weak and sickly due to my overly pale state but he was so wrong.
I spit in his face and when he was distracted headbutted him. I then slid out of my chair and dragged Athena with me.
"Artemis! Run!" I yelled as I pulled my lavender haired sister with me.
"You wench!" Tuomath screamed from behind me as I ran toward the door. I heard Artemis already squeezing her way into one of the secret passage ways.
"Guards get them!" My father yelled in a very commanding voice. I was quite horrified to see that the two guards flanking the door were not our soldiers. They smirked at me and my sister and proceeded to grab our arms. I skimmed the room for Artemis. She was gone. Thank goodness.
"I'm sorry to say your highness that you have quite a problem on your hands." Lord Hilton said standing up from his seat. "I do believe I've gotten you." His voice changed and then I recognized who he was. I mentally punched myself a couple of times. How could I have not noticed that scar beforehand.
"General Juptsin." I stated. He whipped his head toward me glaring.
"Smart girl. A bit too smart for your own good." He strode toward me. I could see in his eyes that he was thinking over something. "I was going to murder your father tonight but I just came up with a better idea." He moved his hand toward my face as if to stroke it but I wasn't about to let him touch my person. I snapped my teeth at him and his fingers reflexively drew back. He glared at me and I feigned innocence. "Instead I'll kidnap his heirs." I rolled my eyes. Now wasn't he one for military strategy. If it had been me in this spot I would have just killed them all. Oh! Oh! And then I would be overpowered eight years later by Artemis who would have grown up to be a grand warrior and who wanted to avenge her famil- Oh... oops.. got a bit carried away there.
"You wouldn't dare." My father said. I think he also caught on to the horrible military strategy. Father is a very good actor it seems. Unlike mother who can't tell a lie to save her life. Where was mother anyways?
"Hey, dad, where's mum?" I asked. Everyone in the room was taken aback. What? It was only a innocent question. I just wanna know. Father looked at me strangely.
"She wasn't feeling well." I nodded that sounded about right. She been throwing up in the mornings.
Wait didn't that mean she was pregnant!? At her age!? Ewwwwwww...
I made a disgusted face and everyone looked at me weirdly again.
"Kay, thank you. You can carry on with your little argument thing now." I said smiling. I think I have thouroughly confused Lord Hilton aka General Juptsin. Good, I don't want him thinking he's figured me out. That would be weird since not even Athena's figured me out yet.
"I think we'll talk about negotiations later your highness." the general said mockingly. "Now I must be on my way. Tuomath?" His son wiped himself off and strode toward me and Athena. He roughly grabbed my arms and twisted them behind my back. He leaned down.
"You're going to regret doing that to me." he hissed into my ear. I just smiled up at him.
"Whatever you say spitwad."
