A Jury Not to Be

One day in the mail I received
a Jury Summoning.
I was so excited to be chosen.
After a few days I was in morning,
because I could not fulfill the Summon.
I was a student going to technical school.
If I did not complete school, I would be a fool.
First thing Monday morning, I called the
courthouse to tell them I could not fulfill
the quest that asked me to fill.
I told them the reason why I could not do
what they wanted me to do.
When I told the why. They did not cry.
They will send me a form to fill out.
After I heard this, I did not pout.
I thought to myself, “One day I will be
a juror in some courtroom.
I went to my first class with a little sadness,
but I knew that my grades were safe and
that gave me some happiness.
All is well and so it should.
One day I will be the juror that could.
