"The Set Up"

Everything looked and felt airbrushed and fake- nothing looked real as the two people to duel stood in the middle of what was the cafeteria and commons- and a group of people stood and watched.

Maki did a double butterfly kick to a high punch- Kagame did a side kick, pushing Maki into the wall. Maki grabbed the wall and spun off of it, legs first into Kagame's face, then used a broken table leg to strike her on the face. Kagame blocked and disarmed the girl- Maki then disarmed her, bending both kagame's arm and her weapon and did a high kick. Kagame got back up and swirled her mace around her neck which Maki dodged, grabbed her hand at a weak moment and hit Kagame on the head with it and jumped as she almost fell into her. kagame tried a high claw, which Maki ducked, then did a spin kick and held the mace around Kagame's throat.

"Stop choking," Maki said, then loosened her grip on the weapon.

"That things gonna get you killed one of these days."

Maki went up the stairs and left Kagame choking even though she was free.

"How did it go?" Oriko asked.

"Fine," Maki said, taking a book from her locker as if what had just happened hadn't.

"But now, you gotta take one," Maki said, looking up at her.

"Why?"

"Does it matter? This is gonna help her learn to respect you- so just fight her and don't ask questions!"
