there seems to be some kind of life that you give to me
breath of eternity
however shallow I will still
take all of you in
or as much as I can handle before I feel like
my eyes could burst with the sight of you

If I could even try to speak of how I feel right now
you would be the last to hear it
you would be the most unforgiving
don't deny it

and if I knew that I loved you
without second-guessing or apprehension
at least I would know why I feel so broken.
