Now we shall part at the falling of darkness

Where hope has long faded and joy burned away;

Sunlight in dying has brought its own brightness

To the pale withered twilight at close of the day.

Bold is my yearning to sleep in the silence

Embracing my fathers, bewitching my mind.

Though oft have I tasted the sweet dew of morning,

In its lonely decaying my rest I will find.

And you who still linger to weep in the shadows,

Regret not the parting, though sundered we’ll be.

May your burdens be lifted, your hearts freed from sorrow:

The world, in its justice, will soon forget me.
