The Christmas Tree

A Douglass Fir, a Balsam and a Pine,
These are all Christmas trees that I think are fine.
But the one I have is the cutest and most sweet:
My little tree, is no more, than two feet!

Popcorn balls and candy canes,
Strung in little tiny lanes.
My little festive shrub I got for free,
When Mama trimmed off the top of her tree.

One present beneath it, wrapped up gold and red.
One glass of milk, two cookies, so Santa can be fed.
I love my little tree, so close to the ground, and low,
I know Santa, when he sees it, he’ll laugh “Ho ho ho!”
