Phoenix

I stand here, my past ashes at my feet,

Many times throughout, I’ve cried, bled, and been beat.

But now I rise up from the ashes on the floor,

And emerge, like a Phoenix, more beautiful than before.

This creature now has more strength, confidence, and drive than you’ll ever know,

My metamorphosis having made it so.

I now have more freedom to fly, create my own destiny,

I control my own life now, and know that sets me free.

Never again will I fear the fire that burned,

Because I am capable of achieving all that I have ever yearned.

So I’ve risen up from the ashes, and into a beautiful Phoenix I’ve become,

And any obstacle I’m equipped with the strength to overcome.
