As she walks down the hall

She begins to notice

Those people

Everyone roots for the winner

The others, well...

Maybe next time

She wants to scream

We were meant to live for so much more!

Just listen!

Life is more than just the games you’re playing.”

No one hears her plea.

They all play for a team that’s called “not to mess with

They don’t realize

They’ve been living with their eyes half open

Fumbling their confidence

And wondering why the world has passed them by

Hoping that they’re bent for more

Than arguments and failed attempt to fly

She just wants to avoid them

They want to bite us,

Inject the virus.

Move quick we might avoid contamination.”

She just wants to hate them

Acting like they want to talk to me

So fake, yet so friendly.”

But she can’t

Those people, please love them

Don’t hate them, we’re not above them.”

We were meant to live for so much more

Listen very carefully to what she’s saying

Life is more than just the games you’re playing.
