Life’s Highway

Down the road we sped
Racing side by side
Together on life’s highway
Mile after mile we would ride

Grammar school, graduation
Life’s road signs passing by
But we passed them together
One destiny, one blue sky

And then came your exit
But I still had more to go
Now I must drive the last miles
Of life’s highway all alone
