People
always say “don’t judge a book by its cover”, that is, until
they meet the book. Brytni Sullivan was one of those books. Everyone
thought of her as “the weird quiet one” and didn’t want that
much to do with her. Sure, they said their hellos and goodbye’s,
but that was just to be polite. No one really cared about who she
was, what she like, what she liked to do on the weekends. No one was
really a true friend to her…well, at least until she met Aaron
Kent. He was the new kid from the rival school, so everyone hated him
before they even saw him. The girls of the school however, all
secretly were in love with him, due to his charming smile, sexy six
pack, and extreme athleticism; but none of them would dare admit it
in fear of being the next “outcast” of the school. And then, one
stormy weekend, Brytni decided to do what she loved most: play
basketball. She grabbed her gear, told her mother were she was going,
and left for the school’s gymnasium. Hope High was only four blocks
away from her house, so it wasn’t that long of a trip. The school
always left the gym doors opened, just in case someone wanted to play
a game or a bum off the street needed a place to crash for the night.
Brytni walked in and closed the door behind her, hoping to keep the
rush of the icy storm air away. She unpacked her stuff and turned to
shoot the basket, but she missed. Why? Aaron had shot another ball at
the exact same time as she had.
