Umm... A look at a war-torn world, so awful that you don't want to be there at all... but you could dream...

When dry winds blow

Across dusty grounds,

And skeletal trees wave

Their bare branches.

Do you wonder

What it could have been like?

Do you sit and ponder

Thinking about

What may have been?

Lush green foliage

Sun shining merrily

Thick carpets of grass

And deep blue pools of water.

What once was, is no more

Lost forever to decades of war

And the stupidity of man.

You could wonder

What it could have been like, or

You could dream

That it still is…

It is only in the hazy reality

Of dreams, that it still is.

You could open your eyes

To the harsh reality of

What really is, or

You could dream

That what was,

Still is…
