I fell much too hard for you-

I'm falling faster, now;

You tell me I should let you go

But you can't tell me how.

I caught myself upon the edge,

I think I'll just hold on;

I pulled myself up to this ledge

But you've already gone.

I guess I'll stand here by myself

And think of what you said,

Funny, how I believe you now,

Don't see why I didn't then.

I guess I'll wait for you to come back,

I'd wait forever, but you don't;

I guess I'll wait for you to find me,

Though I already know you won't.

I try to balance, unstable, with the

Memories, hard and soft,

You looked at me like I was nothing

Before you pushed me off.
