I was Thinking of You

When a young fair lady
goes to the mailbox,
she finds a small envelope.
The only thing that is written
on it is “I was thinking of you.”
She smiles and eagerly opens
the envelope to read what her
true love has written:

I am writing to you to say that
I was thinking of you.
When the sun rosed in the morning
I was thinking of you.
When the birds came out singing
I was thinking of you.
When wind blew the leaves and
they intertwine, I was thinking of
you.
When the sunlight shined so softly,
I was thinking of you.
When the wind blew through
my hair, I was thinking of you.
When the sun set in an orange
glow, it does not compare to
your beauty my love, I was
thinking of you.
Evey night when I dream,
I dream thinking about you.
When we meet again, I will be
so happy. When we are together
once again, I will be thinking of
you.
